Flip your aircraft to access the underside of the chassis
Set it on a clean, flat horizontal surface to avoid damaging props if they are installed
Using an M3 hex driver, remove 4x lower hinge bolts at both of the locations indicated (total of 8x)
Note the position of the GPS module, the bolts to remove are located at either adjacent corner
Note: these two locations will set the skid landing gear up in a standard 'forward flight' orientation. See Footnote #2 for more information on alternate configurations.
Apply a dot of the included Loctite 243 threadlocker to each of the 8x included M4x22 socket head cap screws
Install one of the aircraft-side leg mounts to each of the previously indicated corners of the lower chassis using 4x of the M4x22 SHCS
Using the included click torque driver and M3 hex bit, torque each of the M4x22 SHCS to 3.0Nm
Open the red adjustable locking levers on each of the aircraft-side mounts and locate the alignment rib inside the main bore.
Select either the Medium or Long length leg tubes per your payload and application
E.g. Medium length legs are suitable for most lidar scanning payloads
Match the alignment groove on the leg to the aircraft mount and insert it until the safety latch clicks into the matching undercut on the leg
Once both legs are installed, tighten the adjustable locking levers to secure the legs
Open the adjustable locking levers on each of the skids and install them onto the end of the legs in the same fashion as the legs were installed to the aircraft, taking note of the alignment features and tighten the adjustable locking levers once the safety latches have engaged onto the skid.
Flip aircraft right-side-up and proceed to attach your payload.
Footnote #1: The aircraft-side mounts should be left attached to the aircraft, not removed after every flight.
Footnote #2: Depending on your application, you may choose to install the landing gear perpendicular to forward flight direction. Lidar scanning with wide angular sweep may benefit from this as it keeps the skid gear out of the line-of-sight of the scanner.
