Resolutions and Frame Rates
Ember can shoot in a variety of resolutions and aspect ratios. The width and height of the frame are set independently. The tables below show some width and height settings that correspond to common aspect ratios, along with the maximum frame rate at each resolution.
Note: For a 4K UHD (3840x2160) project, capturing at 4096x2176 (≈ 17:9) and cropping allows the highest maximum frame rate (809fps) without upscaling. To directly capture in 16:9 instead, use 4096x2304 or 5120x2880.
Width | Height | Aspect Ratio | Max FPS |
---|---|---|---|
5120 | 4096 | 5:4 | 436 |
5120 | 3840 | 4:3 | 464 |
5120 | 2880 | 16:9 | 616 |
5120 | 2560 | 2:1 | 691 |
5120 | 2176 | ≈ 2.35:1 | 809 |
Width | Height | Aspect Ratio | Max FPS |
---|---|---|---|
4096 | 4096 | 1:1 | 436 |
4096 | 3072 | 4:3 | 578 |
4096 | 2304 | 16:9 | 765 |
4096 | 2176 | ≈ 17:9 | 809 |
4096 | 2048 | 2:1 | 858 |
